Ramesses mummified corpse
Ramesses II lived to be over eighty, a remarkably old age in Ancient Egypt. By the time of his death, he was suffering from severe dental problems and was plagued by arthritis and hardening of the arteries. Today, his preserved body is on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
